Congratulations to Ying Ann Chiao, a graduate student in the Metabolism and Metabolic Disorders Track, who was recently awarded a Translational Science Training (TST) Across Disciplines Award for her proposal entitled, "Matrix
Metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) Roles in Cardiac Aging." This highly competitive award is provided through the Institute for Integration of Medicine and Science. The goal of the award is to enhance the quality and scope of the doctoral research experience by offering additional interdisciplinary research training and mentorship in Translational Science. The award includes $26,000 annually in stipend, plus up to $7,333 in travel and research support.
