Subject: [GCG-Users] GCG in a 64bit environment

This message is for all GCG users on bcf.uthscsa.edu.

Since we have switched to a 64bit environment, if you try and run GCG you
will be presented with a list of library errors. This can be fixed by
adding an environment variable to your .bashrc or .cshrc files (depending
on which shell you are using).

For Bash:
export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.19

For Csh:
setenv LD_ASSUME_KERNEL 2.4.19
